Write for us

We welcome thoughtful pitches that help readers understand football matchups and the details that shape how a game unfolds. A strong proposal has a distinct question, a clear reader benefit and a scope that can be handled accurately.

What to pitch

We are interested in evergreen explanations of team shapes, tactical contests, match patterns and the context around a fixture. Propose a subject with its own angle rather than a broad survey, prediction or recap. Pieces should help readers notice something specific and understand why it matters.

What makes a strong proposal

Tell us the working title, central idea, intended reader and the main points you would cover. Note what makes the piece distinct from familiar match commentary and how you will handle uncertainty. We value careful reasoning, plain explanations and clear separation between known context and interpretation.

Send a pitch

Send proposals through the Contact page, choosing the editorial question option and including your pitch in the message. Please share a proposal rather than a completed article unless we have agreed otherwise. We cannot promise publication or a response time.
